Domaine Ruet
Since 1926, four generations followed one another in managing the estate, but little has changed in the vineyard and in the cellar. Their love for soil and careful cultivation of grapevines, partial carbonic maceration of whole grapes and constant monitoring of fermentation ensure the exceptional wines, typical of the northern Beaujolais. They cultivate 21 hectares of vineyards, where grounds are mostly granite and sandy loam, while the arable land is shallow. Special positions are in Brouilly, Morgon, Régnié, Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages.

The nose is fruity and slightly concentrated. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and slight notes of crushed red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) associated with discreet hints of liquorice and flowers. The palate is fruity, fine, sleek, mineral and offers a slight freshness as well as a beautiful juicy fruity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, raspberry and slight notes of Quetsche plum, blackberry associated with hints of blueberry, liquorice as well as a discreet hint of hawthorn, tobacco and an imperceptible woody hint. Tannins are fine, well-built and a bit young. Good length and persistence.
