Jakončič
The wine-making tradition of the Jakončič family farm dates back to 1847, when Mihael and Carolina Jakončič took over the first vineyards in the village of Kozana in the Goriška Brda, thus laying the foundation for family winemaking. The commitment to quality grape and wine production on the Jakončič farm was and still is of primary importance. Only such a method of production in combination with specific vineyard locations can be the basis for the production of mineral-rich and structural wines.
The wines are divided into two lines, Jakončič and Carolina. The Jakončič line is dominated by fresh wines from younger vineyards, while the Carolina line is selected from older vineyards and includes longer maturation in oak barrels.

In the mouth the wine is dry, dense, with appropriate levels of acidity. Some discrete aromas of ripening and yeast are recognized. A very compact and harmonious wine, offering a long after taste.

In the mouth the wine is dry, tasty, with fine ripe tannins. The wine is strong, with the flavour of pepper, exotic spices, and chocolate, maturing in the wood. A very complex vine with long after taste and long life.
