The exceptional concentration of grapes in 2000 was not only achieved in the old vines that produce the first wine; all the plots actually yielded very ripe and very concentrated grapes. The fabulous potential of this vintage paradoxically led us to great severity during the blending, so that the Château Margaux 2000 is the most complete expression possible; this very rigorous selection has of course also benefited the Pavillon Rouge, which has been enriched with very good wines that do not fit into Château Margaux, and has freed itself from the less good ones making up the third wine. The Pavillon Rouge 2000 really has the complexity and density of a first wine, and certainly the longevity as well. It probably hasn't reached its peak yet, even if it's hard to resist it today.

Duet is a type of wine that offers something to drink and something to please at the same time. Even though it is not too demanding, it is serious enough. It is capable both of fruity and piquant notes. It reminds us of blackberries, red cherries and a bit of pepper.Maturation: 24-30 months; matured in barriques, a third of which are new. Duet is a very good wine of high quality. It can be offered as a wine by the glass in restaurants and barsof higher and higher rank.The color is deeper ruby, still youthful. The bouquet is quite accentuated youthful, with a hint of ripening notes. Fruity notes of fully ripe fresh red fruits such as cherry, sour cherry, even blackberry and blueberry predominate with a gentle touch of ripening, which can be reminiscent of forest undergrowth. Despite its maturity, the bouquet gives a feeling of freshness and liveliness.

Gentle golden yellow color. The bouquet is more discreet. Smell of butter, white flowers, melons. In the mouth it is dry, bold, with moderate acidity. In the mouth it shows a much more luxurious aromatic profile. Full Pinot Gris with a longer finish.Elegant one-year-old wines, which are characterized by variety, fruitiness and freshness, but also fullness.
