A luxurious wine for Sunday lunches and special occasions.Not too intense on the nose but still quite lively, youthful.Dry on the palate, due to its richness and fulness it gives an impression of a pleasant sweetness. Full bodied, with oily texture giving a sensation of viscosity and density. Medium to high level of acidities. On the palate wine is fully opening and delivers even more variety and complexity as on the nose. The feeling in the mouth is pleasant, luscious, intense and speaks of a premium quality wine. There is tension similar to top-class Chablis, as well as, tight, firm structure – demonstrating very much the Brda terroir. All this is concluded in a long persistent finish.

Flowering occurred under near-perfect conditions which led to excellent fruit set throughout our Oakville estate vineyards and ensured a bountiful harvest – though smaller than the previous year. Ideal conditions continued during the summer with moderate temperatures prevailing until harvest began after midnight on September 5th. Despite sporadic stops due to weather events, the relatively compressed harvest was completed on October 8th.The 2013 Opus One offers splendid aromas of blueberry, cassis, and blackberries with highlights of rose, anise and baking spices. A creamy entry gives way to layers of complexity which unfold in the mid-palate with velvety tannins enrobing a center of concentrated black-fruit with juicy freshness. Elegantly balanced, the acidity and core structure deliver a persistent finish with hints of dark chocolate. The 2013 Opus One promises enjoyment for decades to come.

Monterosso Brut Nature Rosé sparkling wine from Montepulciano grapes. The wine is colored luminous pink with elegant tiny bubbles. Monteclassico rosé is the most refined wine of the Monterosso estate. It has a rich fruity aroma, harmoniously complemented by the buttery scent of freshly baked croissants. The wine, made according to the classic method, is extremely dry, which together with its harmonious middle body and pleasant minerality gives it unprecedented elegance. Monteclassico rosé can be an excellent aperitif, as well as an excellent accompaniment to various dishes.
