Straw yellow colour with greenish reflections, long-lasting notes of apples and yellow fruits, complex structure, juicy, smooth, wellbalanced acidity, crisp elegance.Name:Doss refers to a small hill around the village of Cortina s.s.d. Vino which was often under water and therefore often called “Little Venice”. This hill – which was formed by these floods – is one of the most important areas for Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio in the Bassa Attesina region. In contrast to the rest of the region and due to the soil structure, the area is almost exclusively planted with vines instead of apple trees.Label:The label shows one of the oldest vines in South Tyrol, which were traditionally planted for important occasions. This vine is about 270 years old and is located right next to our Chardonnay vineyards.

Gewürztraminer is one of the most famous grape varieties of South Tyrol. It stands out with its wide range of aromatic flavours of rose leaves, cloves, lychee and tropical fruits. „Vom Lehm“ means the loamy soil on which the grapes for this Gewürztraminer bring out best results.

The name „Vom Stein“ refers to the soil structure of the vineyards of this Pinot Bianco. Their soil is dominated by dolomite limestone which give this wine its fine structure, elegance and freshness. Beside Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon the grape variety Pinot Bianco is one of the most important varieties for South Tyrol.
The vineyard where the grapes of this Pinot Grigio grow is called “15” and the name refers to the position plan of the vineyards in this village.The Pinot Grigio 15 by Castelfeder shines in the glass in a light straw yellow with golden highlights. Fruity and fresh aromas unfold in the nose. Clearly in the foreground are crisp apples followed by juicy Abé Fetel pears and subtle hints of quince and peach.As a grape variety with a dark coloured berry skin Pinot Grigio was often used to produce “Ramato” which resembles a rosé wine. Despite its red skinned berries it is not possible to produce a red wine. In South Tyrol Pinot Grigio is one of the most famous grape varieties and brings out powerful, structured white wines.
Buchholz is the name of a steep single site at an altitude of 440 to 500 meters above the small town of Salorno in the southernmost part of South Tyrol. Due to an optimum sun exposure, the grapes on the 25 to 60-year-old vines can ripen slowly and bring out this delicate Pinot Nero.

Glen is the most historically significant vineyard site of the winery. Its founder Alfons Giovanett has invested in this special location already since 1969. The afternoon sun, the special conglomerate soil of loam, limestone, and porphyry, as well as the micro-vinification at these altitudes of 450-790 m provide ideal conditions for this harmonious Pinot Nero.

The wine is very deep purple. The bouquet is calm and mature. We find very ripe dark red and especially black fruits, dried fruits, it also smells like jam. In the mouth the wine is dry, the body strong, the tannins not very much. Full, robust, uncompromising refošk, with a clear Mediterranean touch that gives a beautiful, varied set of perception.
The wine is deeper golden yellow in color and fairly viscous. The bouquet is accentuated, very, smells of young spruce needles in honey, gently herbal liqueur, walnut liqueur, but we still find beautiful nutmeg notes.Sweet wine with a dense texture, a lower alcohol level allows it not to act hot. Very tasty and very good sweet Yellow Muscat.This wine, properly stored, can be left to age for another ten years.
The high location of this vineyard, about 600 m, as well as the favourable temperature fluctuations are decisive for this aromatic wine. Falling winds in the evening lower the temperature and guarantee an optimal development of the grape.From typo to cult status. Since the grapes of the Sauvignon ripened faster, people wanted to name the wine after it. At some point, someone at the winery mixed up the spelling and voila - the new name Raif was born.
The Korenika & Moškon, Sulne is a macerated mixture of Malvazija Istarska, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Dark amber color, it actually looks like an amber colored gemstone.On the nose Sulne is quince, dried dates and figs, nutmeg, broth and lots of cognac notes. In the mouth Sulne is quince, apricots, peach jam, black tea, orange peel. The tannins are strong but nicely rounded. One might expect a wine that has been aged in wood for so long to be heavy and overripe, but that is not the case. This wine retains a lot of freshness and energy.The grapes come from the two cru vineyards Paderno and Pod Kortinca, which are cultivated according to biodynamic principles. After hand-picking, the fruits were macerated in stainless steel tanks for 45 days. Then the wine was aged in large oak barrels for 6 years (12 months on the lees). The wine was bottled without filtration or stabilization.Pairing:Good with barbecue, pasta, steak. Serve at 10-12 ° C.Vinification:45 days on the skins (maceration), without pressing. Fermentation: inox (stainless steel), indigenous yeasts; malolactic fermentation with autochthonous bacteria.
