TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Buttery cinnamon toast, concentrated raisin in the background, astringent woody touches, glacé cherry, barrel char.
PALATE
Big sweet butter hit, with maple syrup, brown sugar, plump raisins, nutmeg, milk chocolate and more of the char from the nose.
FINISH
Medium length, with chocolate, raisins and more char.

A variety which shows what a region is capable of – a litmus test, a reference point. In our vineyards, it nicely reveals the influence of the Mediterranean and the Alps and offers some exotics, enough body as well as classic continental freshness. It offers the nose some buttery, mineral notes and finely integrated spices from maturation in wood. The mouth feel is full, firm, massive and at the same time balanced with a firm structure. It has an ageing potential of up to ten years. Some vintages from the end of 1990s are at their best at the moment.

The intensity of the Pinot Noir dominates, contributing almost half of the blend. Meunier brings roundness, while Chardonnay brings its generous elegance to the two other grape varieties. Depending on the year, 20 to 30% of reserve wines complete the intensity, subtlety and consistency of Moët Impérial Rosé champagne.Bright pink adorned with amber glints. The lively and intense bouquet is full of red fruits: wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry, etc. Then, a scattering of rose petals inspire floral nuances, underscored with a slight hint of pepper.Strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant: the juicy and persistent intensity of the red berries explodes onto the palate, joined by the fleshy, then firm peach aromas. The finish is structured by the freshness of a subtle peppery and minty note.
